Little Italy Mercato
Six blocks of Date Street vanish under the Mercato every Saturday morning, and the neighborhood rearranges itself around it. Produce stacked deep, cut flowers by the armful, and enough prepared food that you can eat your way from one end to the other and call it breakfast. Wednesday is the smaller, easier version: three blocks, many of the same vendors, room to actually look at what you are buying. Go in the first hour on a Saturday, while you can still see the stalls instead of the shoulders in front of them.
