POINT LOMA
Seven Dollars a Session, Every Day, at Barnes
Barnes is the move when you want pickleball to feel social and organized from the first rally. Open play costs $7 per session, works first come, first served, and groups courts by skill level—an especially useful setup when you do not already have three people and a standing weekly game. Sessions run all seven days, including a Thursday evening block from 7:15–10 PM and a Sunday evening option. The larger center adds 23 hard tennis courts, two clay courts, and padel courts, so this is a real racquet-sports destination rather than a couple of painted lines. Choose a session that matches your energy, show up ready to rotate, and savor an unusual San Diego outing where meeting a game can be easier than organizing one from scratch.
Sessions are first come and cost $7; verify the live schedule before relying on the Thursday or Sunday evening block.
