Afterward, move to Bernardo Winery's 1889 village, Harland Brewing for the Japanese Lager, or Old Poway Park for the market and vintage train rides.
These stops span Scripps Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, and Poway, so treat them as a driving loop, not one walkable district. Summer runs 10 to 15 degrees hotter than the coast, with no shade on Woodson or Iron Mountain. For those trailheads, dawn is the practical choice.
