Read the portfolio as four different decisions
For a cocktail-first night, start with Young Blood, False Idol, Noble
Experiment, Raised by Wolves, Part Time Lover, or Polite Provisions. The first
three reward planning; the latter three work better when the night needs more
flexibility. Our best bars in North Park
guide compares several of those occasions against operators outside CH.
For a complete meal, Ironside is the strongest current all-around product.
Morning Glory owns theatrical breakfast, Born & Raised owns steakhouse drama,
and Leila or Quixote is the better move when cuisine and room both matter. Use
the best date-night restaurants
when the occasion matters more than staying inside one portfolio.
For a Lafayette night, do not treat four doors as one hotel rating. Beginner's
Diner, Lou Lou's, Quixote, and The Gutter have separate products, hours,
platform listings, and tradeoffs. Our North Park neighborhood guide
adds nearby independent alternatives when the hotel complex is not the whole
plan.
Little Italy has the densest CH cluster: Ironside, Morning Glory, Born &
Raised, Craft & Commerce, and False Idol. Pair this page with the
Little Italy guide before assuming every stop
fits one walk-in sequence. Reservations, waits, and separate entrances make a
five-venue crawl unrealistic.
What “every current venue” means here
The count begins with CH Projects' current official main portfolio, not older
company prose, a hotel room count, or every partnership. The Lafayette Hotel
and Baby Grand Hotel are tracked as umbrellas but not ranked as restaurants or
bars. Le Horse remains outside the order while its first-party page says
coming soon. Fallen Empire and Night Hawk remain on hold because a concept page
at a hotel address is not enough to prove a distinct operating venue.
Dreamboat appears as a partnership rather than a current main-roster concept.
The Invigatorium and The Reading Club appear only in older or adjacent records
for this snapshot. None is quietly deleted; none is converted into a current
venue without the necessary identity, product, hours, open-status, and direct
platform evidence.
Sources and verification
The roster boundary comes from the official CH Projects portfolio.
Every ranked venue was then checked as a separate exact identity against its
official destination or concept page, current operating facts, and direct
Google and Yelp listings. Both platforms were attempted. Morning Glory and
Ironside retain Google-only rating evidence because the Yelp attempts did not
produce a qualifying direct complete observation; no indexed card or nearby
sibling was substituted.
Ratings are dated observations, not live counters, and they do not determine
the order by popularity. Recent praise and recurring complaints inform
consistency, hospitality, value, and logistics only. Hours, booking paths, age
rules, entrances, and event schedules can change; use the venue's official
action before a special trip.
